SAFETY & RULES

BATTLE HARD. PLAY SAFE.

At Nexus Battlefield, we want every event to be exciting, competitive, and memorable, but safety always comes first.

Our team will review the rules before each activity begins, demonstrate proper equipment use, and supervise gameplay throughout the event. All participants are expected to follow staff instructions at all times.

All participants must complete a liability waiver before participating. A parent or legal guardian must complete the waiver for participants under 18.


GENERAL SAFETY RULES

• Follow all instructions given by Nexus Battlefield staff.
• Use equipment only for its intended purpose.
• No fighting, roughhousing, or intentional physical contact outside of the designated game.
• Never intentionally strike, throw at, or target spectators or anyone who is not participating.
• Stay within the designated activity area.
• Closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended for all activities.
• Wear comfortable clothing suitable for physical activity.
• Anyone behaving recklessly or intentionally ignoring safety rules may be removed from the activity.
• Nexus Battlefield staff may stop gameplay at any time for safety reasons.
• Immediately notify staff of damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, or an injury.


⚔️ KING'S CLASH RULES

King's Clash delivers the excitement of medieval-style combat using padded weapons and controlled gameplay.

COMBAT RULES

• No strikes to the head, face, neck, or throat.
• No stabbing or thrusting with the tip of a weapon.
• Strikes must be controlled and directed toward approved body areas.
• Never intentionally swing with excessive force.
• No punching, kicking, tackling, wrestling, shoving, or grabbing another participant.
• Do not throw swords, shields, or other combat equipment.
• Keep weapons under control at all times.
• Stop immediately when a Nexus Battlefield staff member blows the whistle or calls "STOP."
• Players who are eliminated must follow the rules of the current game mode before returning to play.
• Respect opposing players, teammates, staff, and equipment.

THE GOAL

King's Clash is about timing, strategy, teamwork, defending, and knowing when to strike — not about who can hit the hardest.

🪓 MOBILE AXE THROWING RULES

Axe throwing takes place only under the supervision of Nexus Battlefield staff.

AXE THROWING SAFETY

• Only throw when instructed by a Nexus Battlefield team member.
• Only approved participants may enter the throwing area.
• Never throw while another person is in front of the throwing line.
• Remain behind the designated throwing line until instructed otherwise.
• Never retrieve an axe until staff confirms that it is safe.
• Axes must be carried safely and handled only as instructed.
• Never intentionally throw an axe anywhere except at the designated target.
• No trick throws unless specifically approved and supervised by Nexus Battlefield staff.
• Spectators must remain outside the designated throwing area.
• Anyone acting recklessly will immediately lose throwing privileges.

Never attempt to catch a dropped or bouncing axe. Step away and allow it to fall.


🔥 FIRE PERFORMANCE SAFETY

When a Fire Spinning Finale is included with an event, guests must remain within the designated spectator area.

• Do not enter the performance area.
• Children must remain supervised.
• Do not touch fire equipment, fuel, props, or performance equipment.
• Follow all instructions from the performer and Nexus Battlefield staff.
• Keep pathways and the designated safety area clear during the performance.

Fire performances may be modified, delayed, or canceled when weather, wind, location restrictions, fire regulations, or other conditions make performing unsafe.


🌦️ WEATHER & OUTDOOR CONDITIONS

Because Nexus Battlefield is a mobile outdoor experience, weather can affect gameplay.

Activities may be temporarily paused, modified, or stopped because of:

Lightning • Severe storms • High winds • Dangerous heat • Ice or unsafe ground conditions • Fire restrictions

Nexus Battlefield staff has final authority regarding whether conditions are safe for an activity to continue.


👨‍👩‍👧 PARENTS & GUARDIANS

Parents and guardians are responsible for making sure minors understand and follow the rules.

Children who cannot safely handle the equipment, follow instructions, or remain within the designated activity area may be asked to sit out an activity.


⚠️ STAFF AUTHORITY

Nexus Battlefield staff has final authority over all gameplay and safety decisions.

A participant may be temporarily or permanently removed from an activity for:

• Reckless behavior
• Deliberately dangerous actions
• Ignoring staff instructions
• Intentionally targeting prohibited areas
• Misusing equipment
• Fighting or aggressive behavior
• Creating an unsafe environment for other guests

Participation may be stopped without refund when a participant's behavior creates a safety risk.


📋 LIABILITY WAIVERS

Every participant must have a completed waiver before participating.

Participants under 18 require a parent or legal guardian signature.

If you are a participant needing to sign a waiver, enter the booking number, last name, or email address of the person who originally booked the event.
